Travis Perkins, the UK’s largest supplier of building materials, has announced that it has been accredited by the Science Based Targets initiative which has recognised the builders’ merchant’s commitment to reduce its total greenhouse gas emissions.

The SBTi has acknowledged Travis Perkins’ plans to reduce its scope one and two emissions by 80 per cent before 2035 from a 2020 base year. The SBTi has also accredited the group’s plans to reduce its total scope three emissions by 63 per cent within the same timeframe. SBTi has determined that all of these targets are in line with a 1.5C trajectory.
